| A worker who has taken all of the necessary precautions to prevent and arrest a fall may still be unfortunate enough to suffer a fall from an elevated position. If the fall arrest mechanisms performed as intended and the worker’s fall was arrested, then he or she will likely need to be rescued. Remaining suspended in a fall protection harness for a long period of time is very uncomfortable and very dangerous, even life-threatening. In this program our students learn the skills necessary to safely lift a suspended worker from a fall arrest system and lower him/her to the ground. |
