This 40-hour course deals with the technical rope rescue section of the NFPA 1006 Standard. The skills and knowledge obtained during the Awareness component will be extended specifically in the rope rescue discipline. A fire-etc. certificate for NFPA 1006 Rope Rescue Technician will be given on successful completion. Successful students possessing Emergency Medical Responder certification are also eligible for IFSAC and/or Pro Board certification. This course consists of the following: |

Compound mechanical and fixed rope systems. |

Construction and operation of a highline system. |
