Within our technical rope rescue programs, we offer low angle, steep angle, and high angle rope rescue techniques. This Firemaster rescue vocation is exciting, diligently executed and rewarding.
The candidate for a rope rescue program should be physically fit, must be tactful and may not be afraid of heights.
The life experience and dutiful participation in rescue groups and societies make Firemaster’s Technical Rope Rescue instructors stand out above others. We have backgrounds in Search and Rescue, caving operations, mountain operations, industrial rescue, and structural rescue. Students should come prepared for an invigorating learning experience.
Firemaster’s Technical Rope Rescue level system has recently been revised. We now offer Technical Rope Rescue training in two levels (Level A 27 hours or Level B 45 hours).
In these courses all students must successfully complete a written exam as well as pass a skills evaluation. We extend these courses with one and two day refresher programs to help rescue groups utilize their skills and knowledge effectively and get the most out of their practice time.
Firemaster supplies all of the necessary rescue equipment for this course including harnesses and helmets. Students are required to bring their full personal protection equipment and rope rescue gloves.
